Welcome to our website.
We hope that you will find the information about our practice helpful – who we are, what services we offer and more importantly, why our practice would suit your pet.
We are a first opinion veterinary practice serving both small animals and large animals in Elgin and the surrounding Moray area. Originally, the practice was set up in the small village of Craigellachie, before opening a branch practice in Elgin in 1981. In 1995, due to the increasing demand for our services, we moved premises to our current location at Wards Veterinary Centre, New Elgin Road. In 2004/5 our Craigellachie branch closed its doors for the final time and all the work was transferred to our larger premises at the Wards. In 2011 we took over Bellevue Veterinary Practice in Banff.
Claire Garden BVMS MRCVS is a partner of the practice alongside Geoffrey Matthews BVMS MRCVS. The practice is now staffed with four full time Veterinary Surgeons, one part time Veterinary Surgeon, five Registered Veterinary Nurses, one trainee Veterinary Nurse and our Practice Manager. The practice has been accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) under the Practice Standards Scheme.
At Wards Veterinary Centre we aim to provide the most up to date veterinary services along with excellent client communication and outstanding patient care. We make every effort to ensure that our patients live happy and healthy lives.
